Collection of Oral Histories.
One of the most important element of both the National Racing Dinghy Archive and the British National Yachting Archive will be the collection and promotion of the oral histories of the key influencers, the Champions, sailmakers and boatbuilders who together have made the story of sailing in the UK so exciting.
Whenever possible, these histories will be captured on camera as well as the oral recording. These recordings will be formatted into a Library which will be made available on line.
In addition, any photos that the individuals being recorded can supply to help tell their story will be scanned and uploaded for public access.
Look for the names of those who've been recorded, along with those who have committed to the project, in the sections 'Stars aflaot and ashore' or 'Olympians of the past'.
