The Press launch for the British National Yachting Archive will be taking place at the London International Boat Show at Excel, 9th Janurary.

18.12.2008:

The first edition of the Dinghy Timeline is added to the website. Now users will be able to scroll their way through the years , picking out key moments for our top sailors, the top events and the launch of innovative dinghies.

Once the full archive pages become operational, users will be able to click on any of the people, events or boats and go straight to the dedicated page in the archive.

15.12.2008:

Good news from the East Coast, as a number of the top sailors and influencers from that region agree to have their oral histories captured. Top names amongst these will be Keith Musto, Reg White and Malcolm Goodwin.

12.12.08:

A wonderful start. John Knowles, who has put so much time and effort into the 'Dinghy Data' pages on Geocities, has offered to donate his material to the archive. There is such a wealth of detail already captured that it will take a few days to find a way to merge the two sites together, but once this is done the website will gain an 'instant' depth of detail on dinghy classes past and present.
