Graham Edwards, or 'Big G' as he was affectionately known, was a highly skilled boat builder. BY trade though he was a market gardener, with many of the boats that he was working on finding a short term home in the 'poly-tunnels' where the produce was being grown.

Graham, along with his brother Brian, grew other main crop, strawberries, at a time when the Hamble Valley was known as the Strawberry Valley. It was this connection that resulted in Graham's boats bearing a Strawberry motif, a logo that friend David Pitman (see: Stars afloat and ashore/David Pitman) used to great effect when creating his own company, Strawberry Marketing.
