History:

The Albacore started life as a development of the Fairey Swordfish. Sailors at Locks SC, on Langston Harbour at Portsmouth, took the initial Uffa Fox design and modified it to suit their particular needs.  Fairey Marine at Hamble undertook to hot mould the hulls, in the same way that the Swordfish and Firefly dinghies were being constructed and soon the boat
